Mirage Casino Makeover Will Welcome the Beatles New Cirque
Show

The Mirage Casino is in the process of rejuvenating the legendary 17 year
old resort with a multi-million dollar make over that promises a new look, new
restaurants, a new atmosphere, and even a new volcano. The centerpiece of
the tropical themed resort has always been the fiery volcano located at the
front of the property on Las Vegas Blvd. The construction of the new volcano
is expected to be complete by the end of this year. The current volcano will
be closed during the construction. Such improvements as taller fireballs, more
realistic lava, and louder thunderous sounds are expected as the volcano is
completed. Wet Design is the company that is redesigning the volcano. They
are the same designers that constructed the fountains at Bellagio. Set to
open this summer, the brand new, $100 million Cirque du Soleil show will
feature the Beatles. This show is to replace the popular Seigfried and Roy
show and theater following the terrible tragedy of magician Roy Horn by one
of the famous white tigers the duo raised.
